Coex ABS is made in Green Bay, Wisconsin in two grades:
- Standard ABS: virgin Chimei Polylac resin
- ABS Prime: virgin LG High Impact ABS resin
Both are stiff, heat- and impact-resistant, and acetone-smoothable, which makes them the go-to for enclosures, housings and end-use parts. Print in an enclosure, and keep spools sealed since ABS absorbs moisture. For self-extinguishing parts, see Flame Retardant ABS.
