Coex 3D Sponsors Local Robotics Program

Tara McAnelly

Coex 3D has long been committed to supporting Educational and STEM/STEAM based non-profit organizations. Coex selects qualifying programs and organizations with sponsorships and we are proud to offer filaments and advice to show our support. One of our more recent sponsored organizations was the St. Francis Public Schools in St. Francis, WI. They allowed us to share their story and what these amazing students have accomplished so far.

St. Francis Public Schools in St. Francis, WI is home to FIRST Lego League (FLL), FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), MATE ROV, SEAPERCH ROV teams, and other Science, Technology, Engineering, (Arts), and Mathematics STEM/STEAM-based projects.

“For the 2021-22 season, the SFROBOTICS FTC #6914 robotics team has had a great season being nominated for three different awards at their qualifier competitions; Inspire Award, Design Award, and Innovate Awards. We were awarded second place with the Inspire Award which was our ticket to the State competition. We had done well in all other judging categories, showed Gracious Professionalism, and had a high-quality Engineering Portfolio. At the same competition, we had gotten second place with the Innovate Award, with more Gracious Professionalism, a high-quality Engineering Portfolio, and a reliable but creative robot we were able to come back with second place. And our last award which was awarded to us at our first competition was the Design Award for which we placed second. We continued to show Gracious Professionalism, the unique design of our robot, and included in our Engineering Portfolio were our CAD images showcasing our unique design.

Thanks to COEX for supporting our robotics team with a filament sponsorship!”
