Experience the next level of 3D printing with Coex 3D's PCTG Prime filament. PCTG is a glycol-modified copolyester and does not contain Polycarbonate.  This advanced copolyester offers a significant upgrade from standard PETG, providing superior strength, chemical resistance, and temperature stability without sacrificing ease of use. Coex 3D's PCTG Prime is engineered to deliver exceptional results.

Made in the USA and held to rigorous quality standards, our PCTG filament ensures consistent diameter and ovality, leading to reliable, high-quality prints from start to finish. We use only premium virgin resins to produce a filament you can trust for your most demanding applications.

Unparalleled Strength and Durability

Step up your printing game with a material designed for resilience. PCTG boasts significantly higher impact strength than its common counterpart, PETG. This makes it the ideal choice for mechanical parts, tools, and any application that requires robust, long-lasting performance. Its superior ductility also means it can withstand bending and stress without fracturing.

Superior Chemical and Temperature Resistance

Don't let harsh environments compromise your creations. PCTG filament offers excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including oils, greases, and solvents. This makes it a valuable material for automotive components, industrial jigs and fixtures, and containers that may come into contact with various substances. Furthermore, with a higher heat deflection temperature than standard PETG—withstanding temperatures up to 76°C (169°F)—your PCTG prints will maintain their integrity in more demanding thermal conditions.

Effortless Printing and Exceptional Finish

Despite its industrial-grade properties, Coex 3D's PCTG Prime filament is remarkably easy to print with, making it accessible to both professionals and hobbyists. It exhibits low shrinkage and excellent dimensional stability, minimizing the risk of warping and ensuring your prints maintain their intended size and shape. This filament does not require a heated chamber, making it compatible with a wide range of 3D printers. The result is a smooth, high-clarity finish that gives your projects a professional look.

Key Features:

  • Exceptional Impact Strength: Creates tough, durable parts resistant to breakage.
  • Excellent Chemical Resistance: Withstands exposure to a variety of chemicals.
  • Increased UV Resistance: Withstands UV exposure better than PETG
  • Higher Thermal Stability: Maintains its form at elevated temperatures.
  • Easy to Print: Low shrinkage and warping for a hassle-free printing experience.
  • High Clarity: Produces prints with excellent optical transparency.
  • Made in the USA: Manufactured with high-quality virgin resins in Green Bay, WI.
  • Precision Manufacturing: Consistent diameter tolerance of ±0.03mm for reliable extrusion.

Applications:

  • Functional Prototypes
  • Mechanical Parts and Jigs
  • Automotive Components
  • Protective Casings and Covers
  • Durable Hobbyist Prints
  • Containers and Organizers

Technical Printing Guide - COEX PCTG

1. Material Notes

  • Keep filament dry - store properly and dry before use
  • If needed, dry at 65°C for 3 hours or more
  • Enclosure is helpful but not mandatory
  • Use Z-offset slightly higher than PLA (+0.05mm)
  • Enable "Avoid crossing perimeters" to reduce stringing
  • Consider using the "Wipe while retract" option
  • Enable "Slow down for small perimeters."
  • Print outer walls slower for better quality
  • Use a minimum layer time of 30 seconds for small parts
  • Enable cooling gradually after the first layer
  • Consider using "Extra Prime Amount" after retraction

2. Temperature Settings

Bed Temperature: 70-90°C

  • Wash the bed often for good adhesion - Use dish soap and rinse thoroughly to remove oils
  • Use bed adhesion products if necessary (gluestick, WELD3D)
  • Use brim for tall or large prints
  • Keep the ambient temperature stable

Extruder Temperature: 240-275°C

3. Basic Parameters

0.6mm 1.0-1.5mm 40mm/s 0.2mm
0.8mm 1.0-1.5mm 40mm/s 0.2mm
1.0mm 1.0-1.5mm 40mm/s 0.2mm

6. Cooling Settings

Cooling Configuration:

Fan Speed Settings:

  • First Layer: 0% (fan off)
  • General Printing: 40% fan speed
  • Bridges and Overhangs: 70% fan speed
  • Layers < 30 seconds: 70% fan speed

Advanced Settings:

  • Keep Fan Always On: YES
  • Force Fan Speed for Overhangs: YES
  • Minimum Layer Time: 30 seconds
  • Force Fan Speed for Small Perimeters: YES

Additional Cooling Notes:

  • Enable gradual fan speed increase after the first layer
  • Increase fan speed for small, detailed parts
  • Consider reducing fan speed for better layer adhesion if needed
  • Monitor overhangs and bridge quality to adjust fan speed
