Polylactic Acid is a biodegradable, eco-friendly plastic, known for its ease of use and low warpage quality. PLA Prime is our high performance PLA 3D printing filament. It is made from Natureworks Ingeo 3D850 and shows improved heat resistance, more toughness, good adhesion and less warping or curling than traditional PLA. PLA was always the go-to basic filament and is still recommended when you start your journey with 3D printing, without needing to change any of your profiles you can up your game by printing with Coex 3D PLA Prime. This high performance material will be perfect for that special print or prototype that you've been wanting to make but weren't sure if PLA was the best material for the job. Please realize though that all grades of PLA will still have limitations. If you truly need high strength and high heat resistance you may want to explore other materials for your project or part.
Tolerance: At Coex 3D, we use multi axis laser measuring heads to ensure a tolerance of ±.03mm.
Quality: All Coex 3D printer filament is manufactured in our Green Bay, WI production facility. This allows us to ensure consistent quality for every spool through control of every aspect of the manufacturing process.
Packaging: Every spool of Coex 3D filament is thoroughly dried in our industrial dryer before being sealed. Spools are sealed with desiccant in a 4mil thick vacuum bag.
Tested: Coex 3D doesn't just sell filament, we use it on a daily basis. Our 50+ 3D printers are constantly running with our filament. We rely on our quality as much as our customers do.
Awesome Filament at a Bargain Price - Interesting Colors - Great for Prototypes or One-offs
I've been using COEX filament for many years and have visited their plant twice. Very friendly and welcoming. The quality has always been consistent and reliable. The Mystery PLA spools are a great bargain. Sometimes interesting colors, sometimes bland but useful for prototypes. Grab these especially when they are on sale - you will not be disappointed.
Unfortunately I won't be ordering anymore.
Worked well once I got it dialed in.
Big part of my decision is be cause of the spools. Tired of fighting them in my bambu ams.
